The Flow Photo Contest has been extended. Open to all, running from April 14th to May 5th, 2025, 11:59:59 EST. $50,000 in cash prizes, five categories, a world-class panel of judges, and a group of folks at Flow who believe photography helps unite us all.
It's $6 per entry with a portion going to our nonprofit organization partners. Winners, finalists, and honorable mentions will be featured in The Photo Issue of The Flow Trip.
MEET THE JUDGES

Shawn Theodore is a Philadelphia-based interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the shaping of Black identity through photography, collage, assemblage, public works, and the written word. Rooted in mythology, memory, and cultural agency, his practice examines the metaphysical tensions between visibility and disappearance within Black communities. He is the originator of “Afromythology®,” a conceptual framework blending speculative storytelling with historical and contemporary Black narratives.

Dr. Shireen Rahimi is an underwater storyteller, marine scientist, National Geographic Explorer, and the founder of Lightpalace Productions. With a focus on tropical coral reefs, she has traveled across the globe showcasing humanity’s impact on the planet’s rapidly changing waters — from the seas of the Caribbean to the Coral Triangle. With her work, Shireen hopes to uplift the marginalized voices of the oceans, telling emotional, character-driven stories that encourage action on behalf of our planet.

Alex Stead is an accomplished UK based commercial photographer and videographer specialising in travel, lifestyle and automotive projects. Throughout the years, Alex has developed his craft through education and assisting professional photographers.15 years later he works worldwide, producing professional content with brands including Bentley, Porsche and Nikon.
